Jom Botak simply means ‘To Go Bald’. Going bald is a fun and effective way to raise awareness and funds for cancer. GetDoc is honoured to be part of this meaningful event to show our support towards those undergoing cancer treatments.
This project is part of MAKNA’s commitment to help poor cancer patients in our country and create a positive outcome for future cancer patients.
GetDoc wants to show our support in helping the cancer patients and families in healing process. Fighting cancer can be lonely, but together, we can make things better for those really in need.

15 June 2016 (10am-6 pm), Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus outside the Student Life Centre.

Come join our Jom Botak Carnival at Attend Talks, Play Games, Get a Hair-mazing cut, color or shave, Learn about cancer, meet celebrities and win lots of prizes like pedometers & Starbucks vouchers! Our founder, Jerry, will also be speaking on the event!

Where does the donation go to?
All donations raised will be channelled to MAKNA, the National Cancer Council Malaysia, the beneficiary of Jom Botak 2016.
What is MAKNA?
MAKNA (Majlis Kanser Nasional or National Cancer Council) is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by Dato’ Mohd Farid Ariffin. Inspired by his own son’s fight and struggles with cancer, MAKNA was born in 1994 and was officially launched in 1995.
In providing multi-faceted services, MAKNA prides itself as a home grown organisation that continues to play an important part helping cancer patients, regardless of background, race, creed, colour and station.
Every year, on the average, 10,000 to 11,000 patients receive financial assistance from MAKNA because of the continuous support from public. Since MAKNA’s inception, they have managed to assist almost 450,000 cancer cases with the necessary help needed, whether financially, medically or equipment-wise, Click here for more information.
