In a research from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, people who consume 18 ounces of yogurt daily and in conjunction with their low-calorie diet lost more weight compared to dieters who skipped snacks. “Fat around your waist produces the hormone cortisol which tells your body to accumulate even more tummy flab,” says nutrition professor and lead study author Michael Zemel, PhD. The calcium in the yogurt signals the fat cells to pump less cortisol that results in losing weight with a combination with the amino acids found in yogurt to burn fats.

Too much salt in our body promotes hypertension, kidney problems and heart disease but fortunately, the potassium found in this magic food may help to flush the excess sodium in our body which to prevent high blood pressure.
